North America charter boat locations stretches from Alaska in the north, to Florida in the south. There are coastal boarders to the Pacific, the Atlantic and to the Gulf of Mexico.
The East coast has a lot of good sailing, fishing and cruising areas all the way from Florida to Maine. Cruising along this coast has the extra attraction of the Intracoastal Waterway, a system of canals, rivers and estuaries, which stretches lengthwise most of the eastern seaboard giving the chance of sailing up or down the coast in sheltered waters almost within sight of the ocean.
On the West coast the most popular cruising and sailing area in the Pacific Northwest are the San Juan Islands, an archipelago of some 200 islands, several of which have been declared wildlife reserves or marine parks.
In the Pacific Southwest there is all year round sailing, whether in the San Francisco Bay area or the Channel Islands, off Southern California. Of the eight main islands, Santa Catalina is the best known and most famous.
